Has anybody read carrie by stephan king?

It's not so much scary as it is sad. It's about a lonely, isolated girl who is abused by her mother, and ostracized by her peers. Her need to feel normal and accepted leads her to her ultimate demise. It's definately worth the read. Don't be scared.
