Is there anything my friend can do? Her boyfriend just broke up with her.?

She has 3 kids from a previous marriage. She just inherited $150,000 but it is now ALL gone...she used it to help him make payroll (he owns his own company) and remodel the house she used to live in. He still lives there and she lives in an apartment. She has no college degree and no real job experience (he met her at a strip bar...she was a stripper!) She is a really sweet girl and everyone just loves her but she seems to just make a series of really bad decisions (her ex used to beat her and the boyfriend was quite verbally abusive). She does not seem willing to sell stuff like her diamond Tag Heuer watch which worries me that she is not truly willing to make the necessary sacrifices and is seeking an easier way out. Does she have any legal recourse in recouping some of that money? Are some people just hopeless at ever turning their lives around? Thank you in advance for your answers.
